That Thing about Waiting

“Lima tahun lagi?”

“Ya, lima tahun lagi”

Apa yang bisa berubah dalam lima tahun, memangnya?

Lalu suatu pagi aku bangun dan mendapati kau sudah tak disana. Hatiku hancur, seperti bayangan dalam mimpi.

Senyumku hilang arti, tidak utuh. Sementara yang lain bersuara di kehidupan asli.

Aku mencintainya, percayalah.

Tetapi cinta itu buta, dan gelap tak mengenal ujung.

Kau menawarkan penerangan, entah untuk berapa lama.

“Aku butuh kepastian. Kita butuh arti”

Rupa-rupanya waktu tak pernah setia. Matahariku direbut orang dan hatiku tercengkram bulan.

Karena sejujurnya sepuluh tahun lagi bisa jadi tak sampai. Sedang lima tahun lebih pasti.

Dengannya terjadi kesesakan, aku bergulat sendiri.
